      <title>Fall 2007 LSTA Competitive Grant Round is now open</title>

&lt;p&gt;
The Utah State Library is announcing the availability of $300,000 for the competitive LSTA sub-grant program Fall Round.
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Grant projects can be funded in any one of these three areas: enhanced access to library services, digitization, and technology infrastructure. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
There are two different funding categories within these three areas. Mini-grants are available for up to $10,000 with a 10% required local match. Regular grants with a 30% required local match are available for $10,001 up to $100,000 maximum. In each funding category, 5% of the required local match can be &amp;#8220;in-kind&amp;#8221;.
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
LSTA grants are available to all certified Utah public libraries, institutional, academic, and research libraries, and school library media centers who meet the eligibility requirements.

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Utah State Library (USL) seeks highly motivated and energetic ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, who reports to the USL Director (State Librarian).&amp;nbsp; Incumbent will manage internal USL operations, including day to day division operations, budget oversight and program development and management.&amp;nbsp; Other duties include management of the Library Development Program, including supervision of staff, performing consulting duties with various libraries; grant writing review and evaluation, overseeing subordinate personnel, including development of performance management plans and conducts performance appraisals.&amp;nbsp; Qualifications: Masters Degree in library science from institution approved by American Library Association and demonstrated administrative ability.&amp;nbsp;
